Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

From my recipe box: this is one of my go-to seasonal breakfast favorites that lasts well beyond Turkey Day!

PUMPKIN PIE SMOOTHIE BOWL

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk of choice

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1/2-3/4 cup frozen zucchini

  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed

  • 1 Tbsp almond butter 

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric + a dash of black pepper [to activate the beneficial PROPERTIES in turmeric!]

  • dash cinnamon + nutmeg

  • 1 scoop Ancient Nutrition turmeric bone broth protein [can sub another protein powder]*

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender [add more liquid if making a smoothie vs. bowl]

  2. Blend until well combined.

  3. Optional: top with any of your favorite smoothie bowl toppers - here I did Purely Elizabeth granola, pecans & unsweetened shredded coconut.
