Air Fried Chicken Nuggets
from my recipe box: a kid’s meal you can feel grown up about…these air fried chicken nuggets are simple to whip up but still flavorful with the addition of a few dried herbs. Enjoy!
Air Fried Chicken Nuggets
Ingredients:
1 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1” pieces
2 eggs, whisked
1/2 C breadcrumbs
1/2 C grated parmesan
2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
your favorite dipping sauce*
Directions:
in a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan and seasonings.
begin by coating the chicken pieces in egg, letting excess drip off, then coating in the breadcrumb mixture. Set aside on a plate and continue coating the chicken until all pieces are coated.
spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray and place half of the coated chicken in the basket, making sure that they are evenly spaced. Lightly spray the chicken.
Fry at 400 for 5 minutes, shake, spray again, and fry for another 5 minutes.
Remove chicken from the air fryer and repeat step 3 and 4 with remaining chicken.
*dipping sauce: I used equal parts mayo, mustard and ketchup, but feel free to use whatever dip your heart desires!
