Lemon Butter Halibut
Ingredients:
1 lbs halibut
2 tbsp butter
2 lemons, 1 juiced ( 2 tbsp, divided) & the other sliced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Pat halibut dry with paper towels. Brush with 1 tbsp lemon juice and sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper on top. Use the back of a spoon to press the spices into the fish.
In an oven safe pan, melt butter on medium heat. Add halibut skin side up and sear for 4-6 minutes (you want a nice sear!). Flip, add additional 1 tbsp of lemon juice over top the fish, and cook for another 4-6 minutes.
Place lemon slice on top and Transfer the pan to the oven for 11-15 minutes (depending on thickness) or until done. Squeeze the lemon slices over the fish before eating.
